Daddy Rock

By admin in LRR

Whether the car broke, Susan puked, or someone kissed someone, plans get mangled. This, however, wasn’t the case at Solid Sound Festival, being instead Vietnamese sandwiches, lovely music, and lovely surroundings.
Curated and headlined by Wilco, Solid Sound provided an exciting and comforting perspective into the band, showing their knack for bringing together soulful artists that connect with all ages. Teens, 20′s, Families, and Beyond were all there, comfortably drunk, smiling and relaxed. Everyone rocked out to Wilco and Mavis Staples. Everyone had their minds garbled by The Books. Everyone was probably a little constipated from the food. And this age-diversity was a friendly slap to us college-goers, a reminder that getting old doesn’t mean boredom and bad taste, just bad dancing.
A few funny events from the weekend:
-Mike grew a creepy mustache
-We met Clive, a 60-something “unemployed explorer” who enjoys whiskey
-Everyone in our group ate moths
Mike is on the right with a mustache.
