Summer Music (B.O.M.B.fest)
Summer brings fun music. I saw a man in a carrot costume, covered in glowsticks, at a Mavis Staples show last year. I’d like to see similar things this year. The perfect opportunities, of course, being summer music festivals. New to the scene is B.O.M.B.fest, a non-profit day festival in Durham, CT on May 30. Scheduled artists include Lupe Fiasco, Jay Electronica, Brand New, and Cool Kids. Durham has many cows, so I’m sure milk will play a significant role in the fun.
I’m planning to check out multiple festivals this year, including B.O.M.B.fest, and hopefully Pitchfork (Chicago, IL) and Gathering of the Vibes (Bridgeport, CT). My close friend Mike and I will be posting fun content recalling our festival experiences + musing about milk. Thanks.
